At Aurion Research, we believe researchers should have access to clear information about the materials they purchase.
Our quality approach is built around third-party testing, batch-level documentation, and transparent access to Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
Where a COA is provided for a product, it is made available for review so researchers can see the analytical information associated with the applicable batch.
Third-Party Batch Testing
Aurion Research uses third-party laboratory testing as part of our quality-control process.
Our current quality standard is simple:
If a batch does not meet our stated purity requirements, it is not released for sale.
Testing and quality documentation are used to help verify the identity and stated analytical characteristics of research materials before they are made available to customers.
What Is a COA?
A Certificate of Analysis is a quality document associated with a specific product batch.
Depending on the product and testing performed, a COA may include information such as:
- Product or compound identification
- Batch or lot identification
- Reported purity
- Test or analytical results
- Testing date
- Applicable specifications or acceptance criteria
- Laboratory or testing information
The exact information presented may vary by product and by the analytical testing performed for that batch.
Batch-Level Transparency
A COA is meaningful only when it can be connected to the material being supplied.
For this reason, Aurion Research uses batch or lot identification to help maintain traceability between research materials and their associated quality documentation.
Where available, the applicable COA is provided directly through the relevant product listing or associated product documentation.
Purity
Aurion Research markets its research materials with stated purity specifications. Our website currently presents a 99% purity standard as a core quality commitment.
Purity results should always be interpreted in the context of the specific product, batch, analytical method, and testing report.
A stated purity percentage is an analytical specification; it should not be interpreted as a guarantee of pharmaceutical grade, clinical suitability, sterility, or approval for use in humans or animals.
What a COA Does — and Does Not — Confirm
A Certificate of Analysis is intended to provide analytical information about a particular research-material batch.
A COA does not, by itself, establish that a product is:
- Approved or authorized as a medicine
- Suitable for human or veterinary use
- Safe for administration
- Appropriate for clinical use
- Sterile or endotoxin-free unless specifically stated and supported by the applicable documentation
- Suitable for a particular experimental protocol without further evaluation
Researchers remain responsible for determining whether a material is appropriate for their intended laboratory application.
Reviewing Your COA
Before using a research material, we recommend reviewing the documentation associated with the applicable batch and confirming that the product identity and batch information correspond to the material received.
If you believe that the documentation associated with an order is missing, unclear, or inconsistent with the product received, please contact Aurion Research so the matter can be reviewed.
